One of the charities that Help for Health has supported in the last year, the Yorkshire Air Ambulance service has in the last 9 months flown 345 missions in East Yorkshire alone. Overall missions have seen an 18% increase over the same period in the previous year (Q1-3) as more incidents are requiring a Doctor and or Advanced Trauma Paramedics at scene to give life-saving emergency pre-hospital care to the injured.
In 2016, the Yorkshire Air Ambulance service purchased two replacement H145 Airbus helicopters, costing £6M each. For further information, please visit:
