Lynda Emily Lazenby, the fund’s benefactor, was from a large philanthropic family and lived all her life in the rural villages of the East Riding. Mrs Lazenby, whose husband had a local haulage business, was always keen to support medical related activity and had a particular interest in helping support people whose care needs could not be met through the NHS. To hear about the Pilot Project to Tackle Loneliness, funded by Help for Health, listen to Hull Kingston Radio 107.4 FM on Tuesday morning 2nd May 2017 about 11 a.m. Malcolm Scott and John Oliphant will present the project. The Trustees of Help for Health wish all our local charities a happy Easter and remind you that applications to go before our next meeting need to be received by the 16th May 2017. One of the charities that Help for Health has supported in the last year, the Yorkshire Air Ambulance service has in the last 9 months flown 345 missions in East Yorkshire alone. Overall missions have seen an 18% increase over the same period in the previous year (Q1-3) as more incidents are requiring a Doctor and or Advanced Trauma Paramedics at scene to give life-saving emergency pre-hospital care to the injured.Help for Health article in HU17.net
