Improving the health and well-being
of people living in East Yorkshire
and Northern Lincolnshire

At our December 2015 meeting, the trustees of Help for Health approved funding of £8,000 to Crisis Pregnancy Centre, Hull. The Crisis Pregnancy Centre offers free and confidential counselling and support to women/men facing a miscarriage/stillbirth/ectopic pregnancy, termination of pregnancy, neonatal death or have fertility/childlessness issues. The Centre, established in 1997, is a registered charity with a team of 11 volunteers and one paid employee, the Centre Manager.

The Help for Help grant is a contribution to the annual salary of the Centre Manager to help secure the Centre’s work for a further twelve months. The Centre Manager role is very important to the successful running of the organisation and incorporates the management of the Centre, overseeing the supervision of the counselling provision, and as the most experienced counsellor on the team, assesses all clients and undertakes the counselling of the most severely affected clients.
