Improving the health and well-being
of people living in East Yorkshire
and Northern Lincolnshire
Yorkshire Air Ambulance provides its rapid response emergency service every day of the year and relies entirely on the support of local people, businesses and organisations to keep its two helicopters flying. In 2014 – 2015, over 1,100 incidents were attended by YAA and the number of missions flown annually continues to increase year on year. The Yorkshire Air Ambulance is very grateful for the generous support it has received from Help for Health – it helps to ensure that YAA aircrews are on standby every day to assist people in need of urgent medical care.
Since the Yorkshire Air Ambulance charity began in 2000 over 6,500 patients have been treated at the scene by YAA paramedics and flown to hospital. This fast response can have a major impact on patient outcomes and their subsequent quality of life and we are grateful that organisations such as Help for Health enable us to make such a difference.
