Motor Neurone Disease Association

In November 2014 Help for Health made a donation towards support for those living with motor neurone disease (MND) in Northern Lincolnshire and East Yorkshire.

MND is a progressive disease that attacks nerves in the brain and spinal cord that control movement.

We are forever grateful for the generous grant from Help for Health towards the Sunshine Smile appeal.  Help for Health’s financial contribution and overall commitment to the development enabled us to complete the Forget Me Not Room specifically giving families a warm welcoming environment at some of the most difficult of times.

DeafBlind UK

In August 2014 Help for Health made a donation to support Deafblind UK in maintaining contact and support of deafblind people in North/North East Lincolnshire and East Riding of Yorkshire.

Update on the Help for Health donation made in April 2014. The donation helped to fund Peer Support Services in Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire.

Action Medical Research for Children

In November 2014 Help for Health approved a request to fund four Hull monthly local community service drop-ins for a full year. These drop-ins take place in Newington, Orchard Park, Bransholme, Marfleet, Longhill and central Hull.

Yorkshire Air Ambulance

Yorkshire Air Ambulance

During 2013/14 the 2 Yorkshire Air Ambulance helicopters and aircrews undertook a total of 1050 missions. As an independent registered charity, YAA relies entirely on voluntary support to run the organisation and keep its helicopters flying.
