Improving the health and well-being
of people living in East Yorkshire
and Northern Lincolnshire
In January 2016 Help for Health approved a grant of grant of £25,000 towards the cost of building an extension to the Mires Beck Garden Centre Anniversary Garden.
The Mires Beck Nursery is a facility for people with complex and profound disabilities. It currently has a capacity of seven service users each day and is fully used by nineteen different service users each week. There is a strong demand for additional places and the new Anniversary Garden will provide an extra five places each day and create an additional 2.5 jobs for support workers. The extension will include a sensory room, craft area, gardening room, kitchen area, wet room, changing room and office.
