Improving the health and well-being
of people living in East Yorkshire
and Northern Lincolnshire
The Trustees of Help for Health have approved a grant of £12,514.00 for the Don’t Look Back programme, within Hull & East Yorkshire, which assists people with mental health difficulties as they leave the prison system.
The funding will allow Hull and East Yorkshire Mind to provide counselling and personal development workshops. Any offender experiencing poor mental health, diagnosed or un-diagnosed, is able to voluntarily access the service regardless of offending history as long as they are re-locating from prison to the Hull or East Riding area. Hull and East Yorkshire Mind matches trained volunteer mentors with clients to problem-solve, motivate and reduce barriers to community inclusion and wellbeing.
