Improving the health and well-being
of people living in East Yorkshire
and Northern Lincolnshire
The Trustees of Help for Health at their September 2016 meeting approved a grant of £1,710 to fund Environmental & Management Solutions’ course healthy cooking on a budget. They will be providing eight x two hour structured sessions, to residents in East Hull at a range of community venues, on how to eat healthily while on a restricted budget. The activities, targeted at families with children of all age ranges, are designed to help them learn how to prepare and cook healthy nutritious meals that they can then replicate at home. Children will be welcome to attend with a designated adult/parent or carer.
At the end of each session, participants will receive an EMS Cooking on a Budget booklet containing the recipes that have been featured during all the sessions as well as a cost guide per meal. Sessions will be open access but attendees will have to register their interest/ attendance beforehand.
