Help for Health

Formerly known as The Humberside Charitable Health Trust, the charity was registered in February 2002 following the merger of the local Health Scheme with the Birmingham Hospital Saturday Fund (BHSF). Following the merger funds were transferred to the charity Humberside Charitable Health Trust.

Since then the charity's investments have supported the charitable objectives in delivering grants to relieve the sick and disabled within the boundaries of East Yorkshire and Northern Lincolnshire.

The charity has supported the development of medical research and medical services within our area, having a huge impact on the Daisy Appeal project at CastleHill Hospital in East Yorkshire and has provided funding to help develop the new Inspire (CAMHS) building and Platform’s new facilities in Hull.

We became Help for Health in 2011. In 2017 Help for Health launched a new charitable fund, The Lazenby Fund, aimed at helping to support the health and well-being of people living in the East Riding of Yorkshire. The Lazenby Fund’s benefactor, Lynda Emily Lazenby, was from a large philanthropic family and lived all her life in the rural villages of the East Riding.

The Trustees look forward to improving the lives of people in East Yorkshire and Northern Lincolnshire in the future.
